Three ice-cream-obsessed friends embark on a cycling tour of the Outer Hebrides and struggle to make traditional hand-cranked ice cream in the harsh environment of Scotland's islands. They battle against wind, rain and snow to make sorbet on the coldest day of the year, search for mysteriously disappearing ice cream and finally make the ultimate Scottish whisky ice cream in the centre of the impressive standing-stone circle at Calanish.
